Q
What is the difference between “Shop Search” and Product Search?

Shop Search: For customers who already know exactly which item they need. Please check carefully that it’s really the right product — vehicle types are easily confused.

Product Search: Helps you select the right item for your vehicle or compatible vehicles for your product. Additionally, there are shop links to freely sold items and direct access to the associated installation guides.

Q
How can I search for suitable products?

The product search allows you to find products for your vehicle and all other relevant information based on the part number.

To do this, the product search is divided into three main areas:

  • In the Vehicle Search you can find the right product by manufacturer, model, and type/year of manufacture. As soon as you have entered the data, the product search shows you all matching items including part number, installation guide, and shop availability. If you want to narrow the search further, additional filter options are available.
  • In the Item Search you can specifically use the part number to see whether it fits your vehicle. For a clearer preview, you can also activate the filter function here.
  • In the next area you will find all installation guides for our products. You can either expand all available guides or specifically search for a particular guide using the part number.
Q
Can I be sure I’m selecting the correct product?

First, check your assumptions about the vehicle and intended use. Year of manufacture and initial registration don’t always match, and vehicle variants are easily confused.

  • Visually/technically compare the vehicle with the ADAC vehicle catalog or similar.
  • Then verify the data using the advanced search.
  • Check the functional scope in the installation guide (EBA).

Now enter the exact vehicle in the product search and note any hints in the popup.

Q
How should I interpret the Type and Year columns?

Type: Manufacturers assign type numbers to distinguish model series. These also help differentiate vehicles with the same model designation. In some cases, two types may be produced in the same year.

Year of manufacture: This refers to the production year, which does NOT have to match the initial registration date.

Q
What do the symbols and numbers in the results column mean?

The document icon shows the compatibility status of a vehicle with an item. Clicking opens the product popup.

Gray: No compatibility prediction possible Light green: Vehicle‑independent item Dark green: Tested on the listed vehicle Yellow: Tested on a platform‑equivalent vehicle
Q
Where can I find the shop link and installation guide for my product?
  • Shop link: Click the item and then the shop icon — you will be taken directly to the correct shop entry.
  • Installation guides (EBA): In the item popup, select the installation guide link.
Q
Where can I find my dealer prices?

Dealer prices are only displayed in the shop after successful login, not in the product search. See above: “Where can I find the shop link / installation guide …”.

Q
Does a product work for all vehicle variants?

That depends on the item. Often, variants such as convertible/estate or diesel/petrol have no effect.

However, please note:

  • Fully electric vehicles and hybrids can affect functions (e.g., RunLock).
  • Unless otherwise noted, items are tested on the standard variant.
